カンボジアの水産加工企業に初の食品安全認証を授与

カンボジア水産庁は木曜日、カンボジア品質シール（CQS）認証を東南アジアの水産加工企業に初めて授与した。
CQS認証の第一弾は、欧州連合（EU）および国連工業開発機関（UNIDO）と共同で開発されたCQSイニシアチブの厳格な要件に準拠していることを実証したポストハーベスト漁業企業8社に授与された。
農林水産省（MAFF）のハス・サレス国務長官は、CQSイニシアチブはカンボジアの水産セクターにおける初の食品安全認証制度であり、消費者の信頼を高め、カンボジアの国家ブランドを促進することを目的としていると述べた。
「CQS認証スキームは、誰にとっても安全な食品を普及させ、輸出市場へのアクセスを強化する政府の取り組みの一環として、さらに発展してきました」と授与式で述べた。

また、カンボジアのミニマートやスーパーマーケットで、魚介類により多くのCQSロゴが表示されるようになることに楽観的な見方を示した。
欧州連合（EU）駐カンボジア代表部のブライアン・フォルナリ協力部長は、食品の安全性を含むより高い製品基準を確保することは、食品ビジネスにおけるビジネスチャンスを広げ、適正な雇用を創出すると述べた。
「また、すべての消費者を潜在的な健康リスクから確実に守ることができます」と述べた。
また、EUは、カンボジアからEUや国際市場に水産加工品を徐々に輸出できるよう、食品安全コンプライアンスを改善するために農水省と協力し続けると付け加えた。

「CQS認証の導入により、カンボジアは食品安全コンプライアンスと持続可能な漁業のチャンピオンとなるべく大きく前進し、地元の消費者と国際貿易に利益をもたらす」と述べた。
