デジタル経済・ビジネス委員会は、カンボジアがデジタル社会経済変革に向かう中、2023-2028年のフィンテック政策の推進に関する普及ワークショップを開催する。同委員会は、国家デジタル経済・社会評議会の下、10月4日にハイアットリージェンシー・プノンペンで「カンボジア金融技術（フィンテック）発展政策2023-2028に関する普及ワークショップ」を開催する。
このワークショップは、Aun Pornmoniroth副首相、経済・財務大臣、デジタル経済・ビジネス委員会委員長が主宰する。参加者には、高官、公的機関や規制当局の代表者、大使館、銀行・金融機関、教育機関、保険会社、国内外の民間企業、その他関連団体などが含まれる。

「このワークショップは、カンボジアにおけるフィンテック（FinTech）政策を広く普及させ、その発展を促進することを目的としています」と、昨日のプレスリリースで発表された。

政策策定の過程において、デジタル経済ビジネス委員会はこれまでに5回のワークショップを開催し、政策の簡潔性、柔軟性、包括性を確保するための貴重な意見を集めてきた。
カンボジア・デジタル経済・社会政策フレームワークは、社会のあらゆる分野におけるデジタルの導入と変革を促進するための基礎を築くことにより、活力あるデジタル経済・社会を構築するという長期的なビジョンを掲げている。
カンボジアにとって、デジタルトランスフォーメーションとは、情報通信技術（ICT）とデジタル技術の進歩の恩恵を取り入れ、最大限に活用することで、生産性と経済効率を高め、国の経済成長を後押しし、文明化された社会を構築することである。

デジタル決済の急速な発展により、2023年6月30日現在、ブロックチェーンベースの銀行間モバイル決済プラットフォーム「Bakong」による取引件数が急増している。
