火曜日、シアヌークビル県で開催されたイベントは、公共事業運輸省（MPWT）が発行した政令に従い、港湾電子データ交換（Port EDI）の正式な開始を記念するものだった。
MPWTが発表したプレスリリースによると、ポートEDIは、王国の港に入出港する船舶のデータを収集・共有するためのデジタルメカニズムである。
港湾EDIの公式立ち上げイベントは、シアヌークビル自治港（PAS）のトン・ヴィロ副局長の出席のもと、水路・海運・港湾総局のポン・ヴティ副局長によって主宰された。
港湾EDIと政令の認知度を高めることを目的としたこのイベントには、政府関係者、海運会社、物流会社の代表が積極的に参加した。
GDWTP、PAS、MPWTが主催したこのイベントには、シアヌークビル、カンポット、コスコ ン、ケップの上級行政官とともに、税関総署、入国管理局、海上保安国家委員会を代表する100人近い政府関係者が参加した。
ポン・ヴティ氏は、MPWTが達成した成功のマイルストーンを強調し、港湾EDIの立ち上げに関連する下位法令に関する啓発活動に参加するよう参加者に呼びかけた。
港湾EDIシステムは、日本政府からの助成金を活用して開発されたもので、関係者には、国際協力機構（JICA）、MPWT、船舶手続委員会が含まれる。
MPWTと関連機関は、管理、記録情報、データ管理の面で民間セクターを促進し、カンボジア港に入出港する船舶の複雑さを軽減するため、日本からの技術支援を通じてこのシステムの構築に協力してきた
