シンガポールビジネス連盟（SBF）の22名からなる代表団は、土曜日に1週間の訪問を終えた。
クメール・タイムズの取材に対し、代表団の団長を務めたSBFグローバル第一部門エグゼクティブ・ディレクターのケルヴィン・キー氏は、「代表団のメンバーにとって大変有意義な旅だった。在カンボジア・シンガポール大使館、シンガポール・クラブ・カンボジア、Aquarii BDのおかげで、この旅行全体を手配し、実現することができました。政府機関や地元企業を含む様々な場所を訪問したことは、代表団にとって大きな意義がありました。」と語った。
プノンペンで過ごした4日間は、代表団メンバーにとって素晴らしいネットワーキングの機会となり、大きな成功を収めたと指摘した。「そして最後の2日間は、シアヌークビルで現在進行中の最新動向について学ぶことができた」と述べた。
ケルビン・キー氏は、カンボジアはこの地域の主要な新興国のひとつであると付け加えた。「シンガポールのビジネスマンは常にアセアン全域でのビジネスチャンスの開拓に関心を寄せており、カンボジアはアセアンの主要経済国であるシンガポールからの理想的な投資先として浮上する可能性がある。
土曜日、代表団はシアヌークビルのベイ・オブ・ライツ・プロジェクト、シアヌークビル自治港経済特区、シアヌークビル経済特区を視察したほか、クーチ・チャムローウン知事を含むシアヌークビル州の多くの政府高官と会談を行った。
SBFはシンガポールの経済会議所の頂点に位置し、シンガポール国内の登録されたすべての経済会議所と協会がメンバーである。
