カンボジアのフン・マネ首相は、シェムリアップ・アンコール国際空港の建設会社に対し、シェムリアップ州をカンボジアの多目的開発のポールモデルとするため、シェムリアップ州への投資計画を拡大するよう支持・奨励した。

この発言は、今朝シェムリアップ・アンコール国際空港の正式な開港式に出席した中華人民共和国雲南省のWang Yubo知事の表敬訪問の際に行われた。

会談の中で、王汝寶氏は、シェムリアップ・アンコール国際空港の正式開港に際して、表敬訪問に時間を割いていただき、実り多い話し合いができたことに感謝の意を表した。

雲南省知事は、「雲南省は(一帯一路)イニシアティブの下での最初の国際空港プロジェクトへの投資の一環として、また(建設・運営・譲渡)の枠組みを通じて華僑企業が行う国際空港プロジェクトとして、同空港の開発に細心の注意を払ってきた」と述べた。フン・マネ首相の賢明なリーダーシップの下、カンボジアが繁栄し、カンボジアと中国、特に雲南省との協力がより深く、より強く、より永続的なものになると自信を示した。

これを受けて、首相は、2023年がカンボジアと中国の外交関係樹立65周年であり、2024年が「人と人とのつながりの年」に指定されたのと同時に行われるシェムリアップ・アンコール国際空港の開港式に出席する雲南省知事と代表団を温かく歓迎した。

シェムリアップだけでなくカンボジア全体にとって「今日は歴史的な日であり、カンボジアの豊かな文化遺産を保存・保護する必要性と一致しながら、偉大で新しい成果が近代的発展の象徴として現れており、もちろん、この成果はカンボジアと中国の良好な協力の賜物である」と強調した。彼はまた、カンボジアへの信頼と投資、特に国際空港の建設において極めて重要な役割を果たした雲南省の3つの国有企業に感謝した。
