カンボジアで唯一のシンガポール系商業銀行であるフィリップ銀行は、マーケットリーダーである海外送金サービスの手数料引き下げを発表した。海外送金手数料は一回につき一律7ドルで、金融市場で際立っている。顧客はフィリップモバイルのアプリを通じてこのサービスを利用できる。

フィリップ銀行の最高経営責任者であるチャン・マッハ氏は、サービス再開の際にメディアの取材に応じ、手数料引き下げの動きについて次のように説明した。「海外にご家族やご友人がいらっしゃる多くのお客様にとって、手頃で信頼できる送金オプションは非常に重要です。今回の手数料引き下げは、お得なサービスを提供するという当行の継続的な取り組みを反映したものであり、当行の顧客ベースのユニークな金融ニーズを満たすという当行のコミットメントを示すものです」と述べた。

同サービスは10カ国への送金を可能にする。その10カ国とは、シンガポール、フィリピン、ベトナム、マレーシア、韓国、タイ、インドネシア、オーストラリア、香港特別行政区である。

中国への送金も可能だ。ただし、中国への送金は、フィリップ銀行の支店の窓口でのみ受け付けている。

送金サービスの対象国の選定は、同銀行がいかに顧客層を理解しているかの一例である。また、カンボジア人にとって最も一般的な国際取引通路であることも認めている。フィリップ銀行には、金融サービスや商品の多様化を目指す幅広い事業計画があり、送金サービスはその戦略的な一環である。
