経済財務省税務総局の今年1〜9月の徴税額が28億ドルに達し、前年同期の26億8000万ドルから4.7％増加したことが、昨日の報告で明らかになった。
この数字は、月曜日に開催されたアウン・ポーンモニロス経済・財務大臣とコン・ビボル国税庁長官が議長を務める月次レビュー会議で発表された。
「今年1〜9月の税収は2023年の予算計画の78.5％に達しました。」
「税収の増加は、納税者へのサービスの提供や良好な登録サービス、良好な監査、債務管理、納税者の納税のための問題解決など、税制改革によるものである」と同氏は述べた。
王国には徴税を担当する2つの機関がある。ひとつは税務総局で、所得税、給与税、付加価値税、固定資産税などの内国税に重点を置いており、もうひとつは税関総局で、国内に出入りする商品にかかる税金を徴収している。
ポーンモニロスは、税務総局の徴税努力を高く評価した。また、世界的な税務行政の進展に合わせて税務行政3.0にアップグレードすることで、税務総局のデジタル変革への支持を表明した。
フン・マネ首相は、新政権は新たな税の創設や既存税の税率引き上げは行わず、一部の経済活動については現行の免税措置を維持することを明らかにした。
フン・マネ首相は、「政府は数十年にわたり課税されてきた13の既存税（1982年以来約40年間、一部は1994年以来無課税）のみを実施してきた」と述べた。2022年、税務総局は34.5億ドルの税金を徴収し、これは目標の122％に相当する。昨年の徴収額が好調だったのは、コロナ後の国内の経済状況が改善したためである。
今年6月に開催された米国商工会議所主催の’Tax Updates’フォーラムで講演した際、ヴィボル氏は、「税務総局は今年35億7000万ドルの目標の110％を徴収するよう求められたが、不動産や建設など多くの部門の減速を考慮すると、それは厳しい仕事であることがわかった」と述べた。
その後、徴収税額は目標額の105%まで引き下げられた。
経済的な問題は、世界経済の状況、特にロシアとウクライナの戦争が長引いたことに起因している。
