環境大臣イアン・ソファレト博士は、カンボジア王国の代表団を率いて、2023年10月19日に中華人民共和国の北京で、中国海洋発展基金会のLV Bin会長と会談した。会談の中で、大臣は環境省の3つの優先事項について言及した： 1) 150万人の学生によるレジ袋削減キャンペーン。2）毎年100万本の苗木を人々に再分配し、法的原則に従って天然資源犯罪を防止する樹木の再生と植林、（3）地域的および世界的な気候変動に対応し、クリーンでグリーンな持続可能な開発を促進するために国際的なパートナーと提携することにより、1番目と2番目の優先事項を組み合わせること。
これらの優先事項は、カンボジア王国政府の第7次ペンタゴン戦略の第一段階に沿って整理されている。
同時に、当財団の理事長は、環境省の取り組みと仕事の優先順位を評価し、高く評価した。理事長は、環境省の優先順位の詳細を検討し、実施するための具体的なプロジェクトを準備するために、関係職員を派遣し、環境省と緊密に連携する予定である。
