カンボジアにおける外国投資家のトップ5は、中国、マレーシア、英領バージン諸島、シンガポール、ベトナムである。
投資プロジェクトは、農業・農産業、製造業、観光業、インフラストラクチャーに集中している。
カンボジア商工会議所のリム・ヘン副会頭は、投資プロジェクトと投資額の増加は、カンボジア政府に対する投資家の信頼を反映していると述べた。
「カンボジアは、RCEP、カンボジア-中国FTA、カンボジア-韓国FTA、新投資法の施行など、カンボジアが持つ貿易優遇措置の可能性を国内外の投資家が見ているため、より多くの投資を呼び込むことができるだろう」とヘン氏はKhmer Timesに語った。
