カンボジアは現在、石油製品の100％を輸入している。OPEC、米国エネルギー情報局（EIA）、国際エネルギー機関（IEA）はいずれも、主要生産国が世界的な供給逼迫を維持するため、来四半期の市場赤字が拡大すると予測しており、世界的な石油需要の伸びも同時期に増加すると予想されている。北京の新たな景気刺激策や、好調な輸出マージンに牽引された中国の製油所の増産も、世界最大の原油輸入国であるカンボジアの需要見通しを下支えしている。カンボジアのガソリンスタンドでは月曜日、レギュラーガソリンは1リットルあたり4,646リエル（1.12ドル）、ディーゼルは1リットルあたり4,786リエル（1.15ドル）だった。
