プレアシアヌーク州のロン・ディマンシュ副知事は8月10日、「一帯一路」構想10周年を記念して中国江蘇省のメディアチームとのインタビューでこのように語った。
カンボジアは2016年に同構想のメンバーとなり、「一帯一路」構想の下でインフラ開発に資金を提供する多国間開発であるアジアインフラ投資銀行の創設メンバーとしても参加したという。
カンボジアの加盟は、プレアシアヌーク州だけでなく、カンボジアへの海外直接投資の増加に本質的に貢献していると彼は続けた。
同イニシアチブを通じた中国によるカンボジアへの投資のほとんどは、道路、海港、空港などのインフラプロジェクト、農業、農産業、鉱業、エネルギー・電力、観光業が中心となっている。
副知事は、このイニシアティブがカンボジアとプレアシアヌーク州により多くの投資をもたらすだろうと前向きであった。
