カンボジアの2023年1月〜7月の国際市場向け輸出額は135億2,500万ドル相当で、前年同期比2％減であったことが、金曜日に発表された税関総署の報告書で明らかになった。
カンボジアの輸出先のトップ3はアメリカ、ベトナム、中国で、それぞれ51億7,800万ドル、15億9,900万ドル、8億1,400万ドル相当の出荷額であった。
カンボジアの主な輸出品目は、アパレル、履物、旅行用品、自転車、米、ゴム、キャッサバ、バナナ、マンゴーなどの農産物である。
同報告書によると、同国が同期間に輸出した衣料品、履物、旅行用品の総額は63億6,000万USDで、前年同期の79億9,000万USDから20.4％減少した。
衣料品、履物、旅行用品産業はカンボジアにとって最大の外貨獲得国である。この部門はおよそ1,300の工場と支店から成り、約84万人の労働者（ほとんどが女性）を雇用している。
商務省のPenn Sovicheat長官兼報道官は、ウクライナ戦争は世界経済の成長に組織的なショックを引き起こし、世界中の個人消費が制限されたと述べた。これがカンボジアの受注減少につながっている。
