新年休暇中、カンボジアの中国投資高速道路を約84,000台が走行

土曜日から月曜日までの年末年始休暇中、約83,900台の車両がプノンペン-シアヌークビル高速道路を走行したと、カンボジア政府高官が火曜日に発表した。

公共事業運輸省のヒアン・ソテユート報道官兼技術広報局長は、「高速道路には土曜日に21,900台、日曜日に28,900台、月曜日に33,100台の車両が通行した」と述べた。
この高速道路が経済、観光、貿易のための潜在的なルートであることを証明している。この高速道路により、シアヌークビルは観光のホットスポットとなった。

中国道路橋公司が20億ドルを投資した187kmの高速道路は、首都プノンペンと国際的な深海港湾都市シアヌークビルを結んでいる。

この高速道路は2022年11月に正式に開通した。

プノンペン-シアヌークビル高速道路の運営会社であるカンボジアPPSHV高速道路株式会社によると、高速道路の営業開始初年度に約520万台の車両が通行した。

ソテユート局長は、「この高速道路はカンボジアの移動と物流システムの効率化に重要な役割を果たしており、カンボジアが他国との貿易交流を促進するための戦略的な道路である」と述べた。

「高速道路を利用することで、燃料も時間も節約でき、一般道路を利用するよりもかなり安全です。」
この高速道路は、「一帯一路構想の枠組みの下でのカンボジアと中国の緊密な協力の成果である、」と彼は付け加えた。

片側2車線と非常用車線があり、アスファルト・コンクリートで舗装されているため、車両は国道4号線で5時間かかるところを、高速道路を通れば2時間で目的地に到着することができる。
