カンボジア王室政府の報道官は今朝声明を発表し、フン・マネ首相がベトナム企業によるカンボジアでの電気タクシー運行計画を拒否したことを明らかにした。
王室政府スポークスマンの声明は以下の通り「2023年12月13日（水）、ベトナムのヴィングループがプノンペンで2,500台の電気タクシー会社を立ち上げる計画であると一部メディアが報じた。シアヌークビルとシェムリアップ。」
この情報は一部のソーシャルメディア関係者の注目を集め、シェアされたことで、「同社が2024年にカンボジアで開業する 」と誤解する人も出てきた。
メディアの混乱は、2023年12月12日午後にハノイで行われた首相とヴィングループ社長の会談の後に起こった。
ビングループ社長は、カンボジアで電気自動車を使ったタクシー会社に投資することを提案し、意欲を示した。
しかし、カンボジア首相は、同社の要求に従って許可を与えなかった。
