フン・マネ首相は、教育、文化、安全保障、防衛、国境問題などの分野での協力を強化・拡大するため、本日ベトナムを公式訪問する。
この2日間の公式訪問は、ベトナムのファム・ミン・チン首相の招待によるものである。

今回の訪問は、カンボジアのクオン・スダリー国会議長が11月下旬から今月上旬にかけてベトナム共産党中央委員会メンバー、ベトナム国家主席、ベトナム国会議員と会談した後のことである。

外務・国際協力省は木曜日、カンボジア開発評議会のスン・チャントール第一副会長とソク・チェンダ・ソフィア外務・国際協力大臣も官民両部門の関係者と共に公式訪問団に参加すると発表した。

同省は「声明の中で、教育、貿易、投資、観光、文化、安全保障、防衛、国境問題などの分野における協力をさらに強化・拡大するため、フン・マネ首相とファム首相が二国間会談を行う予定である」と述べた。

同省によれば、共通の関心と懸念のある小地域、地域、国際的な問題についても話し合われる。

両首相はまた、多くの協定の調印式に立ち会い、貿易・投資促進に関するカンボジア・ベトナムフォーラムの共同議長を務める。

カンボジアとベトナムは良き隣人、良き兄弟として、フランスの植民地時代、ベトナム戦争、冷戦の経験など、多くの歴史を共有しているという。

「隣国が良好な関係であれば、平和と調和の中で共存することができ、両国民と国に多くの利益をもたらすことができる」とフィア所長は語った。

「悪い隣国が紛争を引き起こしたり、国境問題を引き起こしたりして、双方に損失をもたらせば、貿易も国境を越えた旅行も不可能になり、戦争につながるだけです」と彼は付け加えた。
