カンボジアの集団商標であるセン・クラ・オブ米が、第1回中国・ASEAN高級インディカ米品種味覚品質評価活動で金賞を受賞したことは、カンボジア米連合会によると、この商品を海外市場に広めることに貢献するという。
セン・クラ・オブライスは先週、中国の広西チワン族自治区種子管理ステーションと広西農業科学アカデミー稲研究所で開催された国際米コンテストで金賞を受賞した、とカンボジア米連合会は火曜日に発表した。
コンクールには61品種が出品され、そのうちASEAN5カ国から12品種が出品されたという。
「セン・クラ・オブライスは、受賞委員会により、良質で美味しい米として認められ、金賞を受賞した」とカンボジア米連合会は述べた。
「金賞の受賞は、カンボジアの香り高い米の名前をより多くの市場に広めることに貢献するでしょう」とカンボジア米連合会は声明で述べた。
セン・クラ・オブとダムヌーブ・スバイ・モンコンのカンボジア産プレミアムもち米の集合商標は、精米輸出を促進する目的で2022年6月に正式に発足した。
農林水産省によると、セン・クラ・オブ米は収量が多く、香り高く品質が良く、柔らかくて美味しいため、カンボジア全土で人気がある。
カンボジア農業研究開発機構のロル・ブンナ所長は、「中国やヨーロッパの市場で高い需要があるため、現在約40％の稲作農家がセン・クラ・オブ米の第一世代であるセン・クラ・オブ 01という香り高い品種を栽培している」と述べた。
「この種のセン・クラ・オブ米の海外市場は、特に中国とヨーロッパに多くあります」とブンナ氏は10月に述べた。
カンボジア米連合会によると、カンボジアは2023年の最初の9ヶ月間に456,581トンの精米を輸出し、3億2,740万ドルの利益を得た。
「同期間に15万5,366トン以上の米が中国に輸出され、9,960万ドルの総収入を得た」とリリースは述べている。
カンボジアのジャスミン米は、タイのプーケットで開催されたイベントで2022年の「世界最高の米」に選ばれた。プレミアム香り米は、2018年、2014年、2013年、2012年に続き、2022年に5度目の受賞となった。
