Acleda Bank Plcは、KHQRシステムを東南アジア諸国連合（ASEAN）非加盟国にも拡大する計画であると、銀行幹部が述べた。

Acleda銀行の上級副社長兼グループ最高財務責任者であるマール・アマラ氏は、先週の日曜日にクメール・タイムズに対し、スポンサー銀行であるAcleda銀行は、カンボジアとインド、日本、韓国の間でKHQRコードを使用したクロスボーダー決済取引を開発する予定であると語った。
「これらの3つの通路の後、我々は（これらの国々と）接続する予定です」とアマラ氏は述べ、KHQRでラオスとベトナムのスキャンに使用できるのはAcleda Appのみで、Bakong App、Acleda App、CPB Appは現在タイでスキャンに使用できると付け加えた。「近い将来、バコンの全メンバーのアプリがタイでもスキャンできるようになるでしょう」とアマラは語った。
しかし、彼は、他のバコンシステムのメンバーは、カンボジア-タイおよびカンボジア-ベトナムの支払い取引は無料ですが、カンボジア-ラオスの取引は、約100リエルまたは500 LAK（ラオスの国民通貨）の手数料を支払うことで、国境を越えた支払いを自分のモバイルバンキングサービスアプリで行うことを望む場合は、Acleda銀行に加入することにより、間接的な接続を行うこともできると述べた。
アクレダ銀行は、ASEAN経済共同体（AEC）との統合に伴い、ASEAN地域での決済におけるリエルの普及と金融包摂を促進するため、ラオスでのQRコードによるクロスボーダー決済を開始した。
アクレダ・バンク・ピーエルシーのイン・チャニー社長兼グループ・マネージング・ディレクターは、同銀行とその海外子会社であるアクレダ・バンク・ラオ・リミテッドが、カンボジアとラオス間のクロスボーダー決済の決済銀行に選ばれ、リエルとラオスの自国通貨による決済を受け入れることになったと述べた。
「QRコードをスキャンすることで、顧客や一般市民はより簡単かつ安全に、隣国へ旅行する際に自国通貨で商品を購入し、支払いを行うことができる。デジタル決済は、観光客や企業にとって決済をより便利にすると同時に、現地通貨を強化します」とチャニー氏は語った。
アクレダ銀行、KHQRをASEAN以外にも拡大へ
