カンボジアの衣料品、繊維製品、履物、旅行製品産業で働く労働者の2024年の新しい月額最低賃金が発効したと、フン・マネ首相が火曜日に発表した。

首相の公式テレグラム・チャンネルで発表された文章によると、新しい最低賃金は月額204ドルで、2023年12月から4ドル増加した。
この発表は、最低賃金全国審議会が9月に、同部門の最低賃金を月額204ドルに引き上げ、2024年1月1日から適用することを決定した後に行われた。

衣料品、繊維製品、履物、旅行用品産業は、東南アジア諸国にとって最大の外貨獲得国であり、約1300の工場と支店からなり、約84万人の労働者（ほとんどが女性）が働いている。

商務省の報告によると、2023年の最初の11ヶ月間に輸出された製品は99億ドルで、前年同期の約117億ドルから15％減少した。

商務省のペン・ソビシート国務長官兼報道官は、「これらの製品の主要な買い手は、欧州連合、米国、カナダ、英国などである」と述べた。

「世界的な景気減速、特に欧州連合の景気減速により、わが国の衣料品、繊維製品、履物、旅行製品の輸出が減少している」と新華社に語った。
