アンコール遺跡の入場料収入が11ヶ月で3倍に増加

最新のデータによると、カンボジアの主要観光地であるアンコール遺跡公園からの収入は、今年1月から11月までの間に、昨年同期比3倍の3,254万ドルに達した。
また、アンコール・エンタープライズのウェブサイトによると、昨日午後2時50分までに、ユネスコ登録遺産である同遺産には、今年これまでに70万9566人の外国人観光客が訪れており、昨年同期と比較して200％以上の増加となっている。

2023年11月だけで、97,426人の外国人の訪問により、アンコールのチケット売上は460万ドルに達した。アンコールの入場券は外国人観光客向けに3つのカテゴリーに分けられており、1日券は37ドル、3日券は62ドル、7日券は72ドルとなっている。

アンコール寺院の訪問による収入に加え、アンコール・インスティテュートは、2023年11月にコー・ケル寺院エリアへの訪問チケットの販売から35,190ドル、チョン・クニアス港での船旅のチケットから59,095ドルの収入を得ている。

今年最初の11ヶ月間のコー・ケル寺院への訪問は184,200ドル、船旅は501,033ドルをもたらした。カンボジアのカンタ・ボファ財団の収入は、2023年の最初の11ヶ月の時点で合計130万ドルである。

カンボジア北西部に位置し、1992年に世界遺産に登録された401平方キロメートルのアンコール遺跡公園は、東南アジアで最も人気のある観光地である。

一方、10月に新シェムリアップ・アンコール国際空港が開港したことで、同州および同国全体への外国人観光客の到着が増加した。

民間航空局の最新報告によると、新たに開港した空港を通過する航空旅客数は、これまでの1日平均2,600人から3,200人に増加した。同空港は10月に1日42便の運航を記録し、前月の34便を上回った。
4Eレベルの国際空港として、年間700万人の旅客を管理することができ、2040年からは年間1,200万人という驚異的な旅客数に増加することが期待されている。

この近代的な空港の開設は世界中で注目され、いくつかの国々がアンコールと他の文化センターを結ぶツアー・パッケージを作り始めた。例えば、インド鉄道ケータリング観光公社は最近、アヨダヤからアンコールへのツアーパッケージを発売した。

先月、フン・マネ首相は「ビジット・シェムリアップ2024観光促進イニシアチブを発表し、民間セクターの積極的な支援を受けて実施する」と述べた。これは、考古学公園への外国人観光客の訪問をさらに後押しするものと期待されている。

観光省によると、カンボジアは2023年に中国人観光客100万人を含む500万人の国際観光客到着を達成する見込みである。

面積401平方キロメートルのアンコール地域には、9世紀から15世紀にかけてのクメール帝国のさまざまな首都の壮大な遺跡があり、アンコール・ワット、アンコール・トム、バイヨン、チャウ・サイ・テボダ、タ・ケオなどの重要な寺院から構成されている。
